It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Spann, Jr., born June 30, 1948, in Miami, FL. Affectionately known as “Rob,” he was a proud graduate of Miami Northwestern Senior High School (Class of 1966) and Tennessee State University (Class of 1971). He went on to serve honorably in the U.S. Army, Pharmacist while stationed with the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg.

Robert shared 54 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Hazel. Together, they raised two daughters, Adenika (Melvin) and Alijah (Carnell), and built a legacy of love through their grandchildren and great-grandchild. For the past 29 years, he lived in Atlanta, GA, where he worked as an IRS Auditor and found joy in being present for his grandchildren and family.

He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose love and dedication touched all who knew him.
