In Loving Memory of Janette Turner

August 8, 1954 – December 13, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Janette Turner, who transitioned peacefully on December 13, 2024. Born on August 8, 1950, at Hughes Spalding Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, Janette was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend.

Janette is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Printup, her loving daughter, NiTara (Printup) Whitehead, her cherished grandchildren DJ, Nasiah, Kenneth, and Natalie, and her precious great-grandchild, Nalani. She is predeceased by her siblings Linda, Kelvin Mack, and Felicia Rochelle, as well as her parents, Frank Sr. and Mary Turner.

A graduate of Murphy High School in Atlanta, Janette went on to dedicate over 25 years of service to AT&T/Lucent Technologies, where she built a career marked by professionalism and dedication. Ever eager to expand her skills, she attended Atlanta Area Tech and became a Master Cosmetologist, blending artistry and care in her work.

Janette was a God-fearing woman whose faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was an active and devoted member of The Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church, where she served faithfully in several ministries, including the Senior Ministry and the Daughters of Zion Sunday School class. She was also a proud member of Rosa and a shining example of a servant’s heart in all she did.

Janette was a woman of unwavering love and strength, a stern yet kind-hearted presence who brought people together. She adored her family above all else, always ensuring they felt loved and supported.

In her free time, Janette loved to travel, savor delicious meals, and immerse herself in the pages of a good book. Her adventurous spirit, curiosity, and love for life’s blessings made her a light in the lives of all who knew her.

Her legacy of faith, love, resilience, and service to others will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.
