Howie Luther Johnson

Mr. Howie Luther Johnson (Hi-Hi) entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 26, 2021.  Howie Luther Johnson was born September 27, 1960 in Lynwood Park, a historical suburb of Brookhaven, GA.  His parents, now deceased, were Luther Johnson and Georgia Ann Jones Johnson, and was primarily cared for by his loving grandparents, Wallace and Idell Jones. Hi-Hi was noted for being an astute handy man in the surrounding areas.  He was consistently called upon as a “fixer-upper” and was always praised for a job well done.  He was recently preceded in death by two brothers, Jasper Austin and Nicholas Delandes Johnson (ND).  Surviving and celebrating his life are:  three sisters, Jennifer Johnson Henson (Stanley), Donna Johnson Martin and Vassa Renee Johnson; one brother, Davis Lamont Johnson; uncles, Wallace Jones, Jr. and Eugene Johnson; sister-in-law, Tillis Jackson Johnson; nieces and nephews, Jerel and Shakirah Johnson, Jenay Kali Johnson, Heather Janell Martin, Jennifer Idell Martin, Nicholas Delandes Johnson, Jr., Latavia Nicole Benjamin, Kearia Washington, Chase Gioberti Collins, Justin and Alexis Johnson and Janese Charday Johnson, and a host of cousins, friends, and other relatives. Funeral service will be held at Divine Mortuary on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 2:00p.m. Viewing and visitation will be held at 1:00p.m.  Livestream of services will begin at 1:45pm. Masks are mandatory.
