Mrs. Gina Marie Moaney is the daughter of the late Loretta Moaney and the late Norman Moaney. She was born on February 12, 1957 in the great state of South Carolina. She fought the good fight, but the Lord needed her in Heaven. She will also be greeted by a brother, Norman Moaney and a sister, Constance “Connie” Moaney. She earned her wings on May 15th 2021 and departed this life at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. Her life was so colorful. Her works of art displayed throughout her home. She was so talented, creative and could make something beautiful from all kinds of mediums. She loved to bring the beauty of nature inside her home. Gina loved the outdoors and all animals. In school she was very active socially and also played sports. She had the ability to speak Love, Grace, and Hope to any person at any time, and she spoke from the heart. Being in a military family, she experienced the world with an open mind and she learned to appreciate her environment and culture, and became bilingual. She supported her family, with unlimited guidance and outstanding advice. Plus, she gave out so many hugs and kisses – her grandchildren called her “Mama Love”. She was very proud of her people, heritage, and culture – which is also reflected in her artwork and acts of kindness. She began her professional career as a Dental Hygienist in Spring Lake, North Carolina. She eventually moved to Atlanta and started her first business; a cleaning business. She found her calling in real estate as she thrived as an Award Winning Realtor in Atlanta. She could cook! and baked the most delicious cakes and desserts with whatever was in the kitchen. Her favorite shout out was “Wear Your Crown!!” and she always “loved You More!”:
She met her husband September 12th 2003 and married Charley McGee, September 12th 2010. She leaves behind a daughter Martissa AKA “Princess”, that she adored and two grandchildren, Anthony and Al’exis; Two step children, Chelsea and Charley Jr; Two sister in laws, Jan, Pamela and her son Derek; Sister, Holly and her husband Clarence. Her niece Amber and her two children Isaiah and Christine. Also, Nephews Brandon and Colin. Her Nieces Alicia, Devon and her children Caleb and Aubrey. She also leaves behind her lifelong friend and “Big Sis” Cora “Empress” and her daughter Veronica. And many more family and dear friends. She will surely be missed but never forgotten.
