Elsie Mae Butler, born May 31, 1933, departed this life on July 25, 2025, at the age of 92. Her laughter lifted hearts, her love shaped lives. 

Elsie devoted many years of her life working in healthcare facilities. She worked for more than twenty years at St Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. Her dedication, compassion and gentle spirit left lasting memories on her colleagues and all those she served. 

She retired in 2000 and moved to Georgia in 2001. 

She will be remembered for her radiant smile, her unforgettable laugh, and her deep love for gardening, socializing with family and friends. Her greatest joy and pride were her loving sons, Christopher and Donovan. She passionately referred to them as 'her boys' whom she loved and supported with unwavering devotion. 

She is survived by a brother, Seymour Kelly of Canada, sons Donovan Cohen (wife Lenice) and Christopher Cohen (wife Nina); grandchildren: Aisha, Christine, Brandon, Cameron, Nya, and Elijah; great-grandchildren: Naimah, Diorre, and Natalia; nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family and close friends. 

Her legacy of joy, devotion, and love lives on in all who knew her.
