Beloved husband, avid organic gardener, beekeeper, and versatile safety engineer/consultant passed away at 69.

Mr. Charles Brooks, of Mansfield, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. He leaves as loving guardians of his memory, his wife, Jerrie Norris Brooks, sisters, Darnella Lofton (James) and Patricia Stovall (Theodore), aunts, Dr. Louise Smith and Virginia Blount, and other extended family in Georgia and Maryland. Trained as a chemist at the University of Maryland, College Park, and Emory University, he was a safety engineer at Risk Consultants, Inc. His extensive career spanned work in federal regulatory agencies, regulatory compliance, quality management and implementation of safety and environmental programs.

A private service will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021; a virtual memorial service will be held at a date to be announced.
