Caroline Janet (Roberts) Waddilove

Caroline J. Waddilove, 57, of Stone Mountain, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2018 following a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer at Dekalb Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. In honor of Caroline, a memorial will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 2 P.M. at Divine Mortuary Services 5620 Hillandale Dr, Lithonia, Georgia 30058.

Caroline was born on January 30, 1961; the daughter of Major and Mary (Wallace) Roberts. Caroline was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and nurse who truly enjoyed her work, family and friends. She was a strong, beautiful, intelligent woman. Caroline was a guiding light to many of the young people in her children’s circle of friends in Woodfield Park. Caroline and Joe were members of Daniel Circle Chapel, Fort Jackson, South Carolina. 

Caroline graduated from Dreher High School. She earned her nursing degree from Midlands Technical College.She had an extensive career as a registered Nurse at Palmetto Health, International Medical Center and ended her career at Dekalb Medical Center. She inspired everyone by her sharing and caring. Caroline will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. 

Left to cherish Caroline’s memories are her husband of 25 years Garland “Joe” Waddilove, children Michael (Domonique) Washington, Brittany Washington, Angel (Cory) Vannatta, Jerry (Jenny) Waddilove, and 7 grandchildren, Nicholas Vannatta, Megan Vannatta, Ava Waddilove, Landon Waddilove, Michael “Mikey” Washington, Naomi Washington, and Simmone Washington.

Caroline is the 8th of eleven siblings.  Surviving sibling are Mary (Gary)Rougeau, Major Roberts, Ricky Roberts, Tony Roberts, Bernard(Barbara) Roberts, Linda Roberts,Vera Roberts, Lamont Roberts and Melissa Roberts.  Caroline was preceded in death, by her parents Major & Mary Roberts and a sibling Barbara Thomas.
