Dorothy L. (Jaci’) Taylor

Dorothy L Taylor, affectionately known as Jaci’, departed this life with her family by her side on February 26 2018 at Amicasa Hospice Center in Decatur GA at the age of 70.  She was born in Waterbury CT on March 6,1947 were she also lived. 

Jaci’ was the daughter of the late Beth (Antrum) Taylor and Erving (Buddy) Taylor.  She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughters, Tina Taylor and Monique Wallace, son in law James Thomas Wallace, foster son, Jayvon Gatling, her sisters Carol Taylor, Tanya Swinton, brother in law Charlie Swinton,  Beth Taylor, and brothers Theodore (Ace) Taylor, sister in law Claudette Taylor, Anthony (Taylor) Frank, sister in law Jennifer (Taylor) Frank, her 5 grandchildren Zherawn, Domonique, Zherawnica, Jayme , James Thomas IV (JT) and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jaci’ loved her God Jehovah and symbolized her dedication to him in 1975. She was a member of the Waterbury South Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She worked at Easter Seals as a job coach until she retired. She also was a member of the Therapeutic Foster care program as a foster parent.  Jaci’ also worked for the Developmentally  disabled as an aid from 1988 to 1993.  She graduated from Waterbury School of Hairdressing in 1993 and worked as a Beautician.  She went to Naugatuck Valley Community Collage for computers after receiving her high school diploma  from Waterbury High School.

Jaci’ enjoyed sharing her faith with others and talking to them about God’s Kingdom, she attended pioneer school in 1989. She also enjoyed drawing and painting and won awards for some of her work.  She enjoyed arts and crafts, playing cards, games, listening to music and dancing.  She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
